Sailing Seminar with Brad Russell

Brad Russell, 2018 North American Thistle Champion and winner of numerous other championships, has graciously offered to put on a sailing seminar to be held at Lake Norman Yacht Club. Please invite your sailing friends--all are invited but everyone must sign up.  Please sign up by February 18th. 

Please bring a dish to share for lunch. Water and soft drinks will be supplied.

Hope you will be able to join us. The topics include:

• How to read the wind/wind shifts
• How geography affects the wind
• Sailing weather

Learn how to develop or improve your skills to read wind shifts and determine what the wind is likely to do based on other factors such as geography. We will also discuss weather, focusing on aspects related to sailing and how they affect racing in different types of venues, such as forecasts, clouds, puffs & lulls, and oscillations.
