Objective:

Create an atmosphere dor hands on learning. Encourage new and current members to participate.

Time:

Start at 9:00am
Intros and divide into 3 groups

9:15 1st session - 1 hour with 15 min to move

10:30 2nd session - 1 hour with 15 min to move

11:45 3rd session - 1 hour

12:45 Lunch upstairs clubhouse

Agenda/Plan for the workshop:

• Divide into three groups - rotate each hour
• Group 1: Hands on RC marks and pin boat
  • Starting, Driving, Safety
  • Dropping marks, pins, wind reading
  • Helping rescue people and boats
  • towing 101
• Group 2: Hands on Signal boat and RC storage
  • Starting, driving, safety
  • Flags
  • Horns
  • signage for courses
  • wind reading
  • Radio Protocol
• Group 3: Safety
  • only one in classroom (upstairs RC bldg)
  • LNYC safety plan
  • safety on boats
  • safety rescuing people/boats
• Lunch with Q & A
