2024 Wounded Warrior Project

On May 11th, Lake Norman Yacht Club was honored to host veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project and their families. Thirty-two participants were welcomed by 30 LNYC volunteers for a great day on the lake.  After a quick breakfast and introduction, we got out on the water in a perfect 8 knots of breeze and clear blue skies.  After a couple hours cruising around the lake, the participants came back in for lunch, then headed back out in 10-15 knots of breeze to finish off the day.  It was a wonderful event and all the participants were very appreciative.  Hopefully this will be the first of many opportunities to work with the Wounded Warrior Project.  Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a huge success.
